About the role
Join Addible, a green chemistry company behind TMO2, a patent-pending oxidising agent, as one of two researchers in a small lab in Kildare, Ireland. Working closely with the Senior Scientist and directors, you will run experiments in polymer synthesis and materials development, prepare and characterise polymer emulsions and dispersions, contribute to oxidation chemistry and design experiments using DoE, develop analytical methods such as GC-MS, keep reproducible records, write updates for directors and technical reports for clients, and work with clients, academic partners, and external facilities.
Requirements
- PhD in chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials science, or related, or a Master's with substantial industry experience
- Hands-on polymer synthesis and materials chemistry experience
- NMR, FTIR, GPC, GC-MS, and DSC/TGA experience
- Strong lab safety mindset and clear communication
- Full driving licence and own transport
- Existing right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship)
- Nice to have: green chemistry, peroxide handling, polyamides or polyesters, scale-up, DoE software
