About the role
The Center for Strategic Studies of Eurasia (CSSE) is an independent research institution dedicated to policy analysis, academic research, and the study of energy, technology, and geopolitical developments across Eurasia, Central, and Eastern Europe. We are looking for an ambitious leader to serve as Founding Director and build an international research organization from the ground up. Key responsibilities include establishing the Center's institutional structure and long-term strategy, leading research in Eurasian studies, energy policy and technology, recruiting and leading a team of analysts and researchers, building global partnerships with think tanks and universities, and representing the Center at international forums and overseeing publications.
Requirements
- Degree: Master’s or PhD in IR, Political Science, Economics, or related fields
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in research, think tanks, or project management
- Languages: English (C1/C2 required), Russian (Advanced preferred)
- Skills: Strong leadership, geopolitical insight, greenfield/start-up mindset
