Group Accounting Manager
About the role
A global Irish business is hiring a Group Accounting Manager to own group consolidation and technical accounting. The role has a strong commercial side, partnering with Strategy, M&A, and Commercial teams, and reports to the Group Financial Controller. Responsibilities include owning monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated group results under IFRS, preparing the annual group financial statements, being the main point of contact for technical accounting queries across the group, advising on accounting for new and complex transactions and the impact of new standards, owning group accounting policies and guiding subsidiaries on consistent application, leading improvements to financial controls, systems, and processes, supporting junior team members in the wider finance team, and taking part in group-wide projects including AI and automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong technical accounting skills, ideally with IFRS knowledge
- Group consolidation experience, ideally across multiple entities
- Commercial awareness and confidence partnering with senior stakeholders
- A positive attitude and plenty of energy
- Openness to AI and automation
