IT Administrator / IT Specialist
About the role
Stadtwerke Schweinfurt, wholly owned by the city of Schweinfurt, is looking for a creative, experienced IT Specialist/Administrator to shape their IT infrastructure. The company supplies electricity, natural gas, drinking water, district heating, fiber, and telecom to Schweinfurt and surrounding municipalities, and also runs public transport and the SILVANA sports/leisure pool. Responsibilities include actively supporting the company's agile transformation, working closely with departments to implement agile principles and digital processes, helping shape a modern digital company culture, introducing new technologies and methods, administering the IT environment (networks, servers, clients, applications, and databases, including backups and data integrity), providing user support and training on IT tools and systems, and taking part in on-call duty after thorough onboarding.
Requirements
- Completed training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or comparable qualification, or a degree in computer science
- Programming knowledge and enthusiasm for project work
- Openness to change and new technologies (AI, M365, Cloud, energy transition, IT security)
- Reliable, deadline-driven, team-oriented approach
- Fluent German, good English
- Willingness to take part in further training
- Driver's license (Class B) and residence within 30 minutes of the supply area
