Pedagogical Specialist – Ambulatory Child & Youth Welfare
About the role
Provide ambulatory pedagogical support to children, young people, and families in Brandenburg an der Havel. Conduct home visits and regular sessions to help families manage daily routines, resolve conflicts, and improve communication. Offer targeted pedagogical assistance to foster social skills, emotional well-being, personal independence, and educational stability. Collaborate with youth welfare offices (Jugendamt) to draft, implement, and continuously adjust individual support plans (Hilfeplan).
Requirements
- Degree in Social Work (Sozialpädagogik / Soziale Arbeit), Pedagogy, Childhood Education, or comparable qualification in human services
- Experience in ambulatory family assistance, youth welfare, or social-pedagogical counseling highly desirable
- Strong communication, active listening, conflict management, and empathy
- High degree of reliability and self-organization
- Professional fluency in German essential; additional languages a plus
- Flexibility for mobile and field work throughout the local region
