Social Pedagogue

For the VIET-FAMILY project — outreach support for Vietnamese families, children, and youth — ABW is looking for a Vietnamese-speaking pedagogical professional to provide educational assistance under SGB VIII (§30, 31, 35). The project offers socio-pedagogical family support for families with a Vietnamese migration background in Berlin who need help strengthening parenting skills or implementing positive parenting approaches in daily family life. You'll advise, support, and accompany families through home visits and key appointments, working in a systemic, resource-oriented way alongside an interdisciplinary network (including the Vietnam Health Network).

• Pedagogical qualification (open to career changers, willing to train) or a state-recognized degree in social pedagogy/social work
• Vietnamese as a native language or strong proficiency
• Interest in working with children, youth, and families
• Willingness to work mainly afternoons/early evenings, based on family needs
• Experience in child/youth welfare services is a plus
• Patience with everyday challenges and potential conflicts
