Support Fraction Member
About the role
The ChristenUnie faction in the Velsen municipal council is looking for a second support member. Responsibilities include preparing for debates, taking part in council debates, writing written questions and similar documents, following current affairs closely, helping determine the substantive and strategic line on various policy areas together with other faction members, and assisting with organizing events.
Requirements
- Preferably demonstrable experience in a political environment
- Interest in one or more policy areas (Care, Sustainability, Mobility, Climate & Environment, Finance, Economic Affairs, Spatial Planning, Social Affairs, or Labor Market)
- Strong verbal and excellent written communication
- Analytical skills, sense for political/administrative dynamics
- Affinity with ChristenUnie and Christian-social politics
- Independent, organized working style
- Communication/media skills (video, Photoshop) a plus, not required
