Team Lead – Measurement, Control & Regulation (MSR) Technology
About the role
Lead a newly formed team and set the strategic direction for MSR (measurement, control and regulation) technology at Stadtwerke Bernau, which supplies electricity, gas, district heating and water to the city of Bernau bei Berlin. Responsibilities include building the team from scratch, managing team capacity and development across control systems, smart metering, submetering and meter management, making fundamental decisions on §14a EnWG and Redispatch 2.0, owning investment and maintenance budgets for control systems, ensuring legal smart-meter rollout deadlines and quotas are met, representing the team with grid operators, service providers and, on escalation level, BNetzA and 50Hertz, and evaluating new technologies such as LoRaWAN and IoT and supporting digital twins for power and district heating grids.
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering, automation, energy engineering, or comparable
- Several years of experience in measurement/control technology in the energy or utility sector
- Solid knowledge of process control and automation
- Leadership experience a plus, not required
- Familiarity with MsbG, smart metering, or EnWG/§14a ideally
- Structured, solution-oriented, strong communicator
